FASHIONCLASH & State of Fashion (Alliance)

The Alliance between two strong Dutch Initiatives!

FASHIONCLASH is a dynamic showcase and development platform that fosters fashion through interdisciplinary crossovers, supporting emerging talent while promoting awareness of fashion’s societal role. Since 2009, it has built an extensive network and expertise, developing programs that positively impact the creative industry, culture, and the environment.
Best known for the annual FASHIONCLASH Festival in Maastricht, the platform has realized over 300 projects in the Netherlands and internationally, including in China, South America, Austria, Brazil etc.

State of Fashion is a platform for showcasing alternatives to the current fashion system. We connect fashion, explicitly and honestly, with the societal questions and challenges of our time. Our leading question is how fashion and textile can contribute to a better world. Within our activities, we bring together visionary ideas from global points of view and explore alternatives to the dominant industrial fashion system.
